Hosts China were placed in Group A with DPR Korea, the 2016 FIFA U20 World Cup champions, along with Thailand and Uzbekistan.
Each group will play a one-round match, with the top two teams qualifying for the semifinals. The two winners of the semifinals will advance to the final, while the two losing teams will contest for third and fourth place.
The tournament will be played from October 18-25 in Nanjing, China. The top three ranked teams in China will qualify for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup to be held in France next year. – VNS
